With Thanksgiving right around the corner, gatherings of all kinds are frequently being added to calendars. Spending time to practice gratitude for family is always a highlight and focus of the holiday, but this mindset should not be limited to family. Let's extend our gratitude and gatherings to the girls in your life because the right group of friends can be a family in and of itself. Planning a Girlsgiving is a great simple way to celebrate love and gratitude with your closest confidants. Grab your girls and glasses, get dressed up, and try these Thanksgiving-themed drinks with those you are grateful for each and every day.
Chia Espresso Martini

Chia Honey Syrup:
½ cup honey
4 bags of chai tea
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
(makes enough for 6 drinks)
Martini:
1 ½ ounces vodka
1 ½ ounces Kahlua
1 ounce espresso
1 ounce canned coconut milk
Grated Nutmeg and star anise
Directions:
Rim glass with a sugar rim
In a shaker, combine 2 tablespoons of chia honey syrup, vodka, Kahlua, espresso, and coconut milk
Add ice and shake for one minute
Strain into glass and garnish as desired
Cranberry Bourbon Sour

Ingredients:
2 ounces bourbon
1 ounce cranberry simple syrup
1 ounce lemon juice
½ ounce fresh orange juice
1 egg white
3 drops of aromatic bitters
3 drops of orange bitters
3 fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary for garnish
Directions:
Measure all liquid ingredients, including the egg white and bitters into your cocktail shaker
Dry shake vigorously for one minute to create foam, then add ice and shake vigorously again
Double strain into a chilled martini glass
Garnish with cranberries and rosemary and serve.
Hot Spiced Wine

Ingredients:
1 bottle of dry red wine
1 orange, juiced; 1/2 orange, sliced
3 tablespoons maple syrup
2 cinnamon sticks
3 whole star anise
5 whole cloves
⅓ cup brandy
Orange slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Directions:
Add wine, orange juice and slices, maple syrup, and spices into a medium saucepan on low heat
Heat on low for 20-30 minutes or until fragrant. Do not boil or simmer.
Turn off heat, remove the orange slices, and strain spices
Serve hot in garnished glasses
Plum and thyme Prosecco Smash

Thyme simple syrup:
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
6 thyme sprigs
Smash:
2 plums
Thyme sprigs for garnish
Juice from one lemon
4 tablespoons thyme simple syrup
1 bottle of your favorite Prosecco
Directions:
Peel and chop plums
Muddle plums in thyme simple syrup and lemon juice
Shake with ice in a shaker
Pour onto crushed ice evenly between two glasses
Top with Prosecco and garnish
